The Scholarships for Students research focuses on the perception of pathogens and the reprogramming of host cells by microbial factors in the model plant Arabidopsis. The project is the combination of biochemical and molecular approaches to understanding the role of Avr2 in planta, an effector of Phytophthora infestans, the cause of late blight.
Qualification
Scholarships for Students Applicants must hold a master's degree. or equivalent in biological sciences with experience in plant physiology and / or genetics. Basic knowledge of bioinformatics is an advantage. A salary according to German standards (E13/65% TV-L) is made.
